Copying Analyses, Operators and Parameters

If you have an analysis that you want to use as the basis of another analysis, you may create a copy of it. In addition, you may also copy a particular operator from one analysis to another, or even back into the analysis itself.

 

Duplicating an analysis

You may copy any analysis in your Accelerus database:

Open the analysis from the Analysis Explorer or Quick Find, .
Select File and then the option Duplicate analysis.

A new tabbed Analysis window will open with an unsaved copy of the analysis, with _Copy added to its name.

In the Analysis Properties, give the analysis an appropriate name or accept the automatically assigned name.
Modify the analysis as required.
Save the analysis.

 

Copying an operator

Individual operators that have been set up in an analysis may be copied, both within the analysis and across analyses.

Even Source, Export and Print operators may be copied, even though an analysis may only have one Source and output operator. In these cases, you can move the one you do not require to the Unused Steps pane, either leaving it there for future use or deleting it.

To copy an operator, with the required analysis open:

Click the operator to be copied.
Select Copy from the Edit menu or press Ctrl C.
Move to the analysis into which you wish to paste the operator.
Click the operator above the position into which you want to paste the copied operator.
Select Edit > Paste or press Ctrl V.

 

Copying parameters

An individual or multiple rows of parameters in the Analysis Properties may be copied from one analysis to another:

Select the rows required, using the standard selection procedures, including clicking in the top left cell to select all rows in the Parameters table.
Select Copy from the Edit menu or press Ctrl C.
Move to the analysis into which you wish to paste the parameters.
Click the Analysis Properties and click in any table row.
Select Edit > Paste or press Ctrl V.

The selected row/s will be pasted below any existing parameter rows.
